Glass Art From The Murano Islands: Captivating Interplay Of Color & Light
Venetian Murano glass is famous for its colorfulness. With the use of special production methods, the glass artists, whose names are inextricably linked with the famous workshops on the island of Murano, can produce colors in unique nuances and with great brilliance. Colors and exceptional shapes transform vases and other objects into works of art with collector's value. Famous masters such as Carlo Scarpa, Fulvio Bianconi, Thomas Stearns, Tomaso Buzzi and others, who continued the tradition of Paolo Venini, studied the properties of the material in depth and experimented with the ability of glass to capture and amplify light. They added exciting modernist and even avant-garde aspects to the traditional styles of the Venini glassworks. You can discover these artistic and experimental ambitions in my finest collection of Murano glass.
