- Representation of the "mascot" or emblem of Island Murrano and glassmakers guild.
- The crooked beak goes back to the fact that a worm was held in its beak in the original icon. The worm, in turn, should be the ruling Doge. A form of protest against the annexation of the island of Murano in Venice.
