Additional Architect and active in many areas designer Gio Ponti took over in 1923 the artistic director of the venerable Richard-Ginori ceramics factory in Doccia, 1928 he founded the magazine Domus. From 1946, he designed a series of multicolored objects for Venini, including a series of lights using a Mediterranean palette of intense reds, yellows, blues and greens. Cutlery and metalwork he designed inter alia for Christofle, Paris and Sabattini.
